Tamsui Township (淡水, or Danshui, Danshuei) is a sea-side town in Taipei County, Taiwan. It is named after the Danshui River whose name means "Freshwater". The town is also popular as a site for viewing the sun setting into the Taiwan Strait.
We made a stop to pay a visit at the harbour on the last day. You can travel via the MRT which was utterly convenient and head towards the last station called Danshui or 淡水 stop.
The Danshui Town Centre with lots and lots of taxis waiting for customers. :P

The Danshui MRT station...

We saw Dunkin Donuts along the way... snap a photo and move along... kekeke....

There was a market nearby too with assorted Taiwan cuisines and souvenirs! :)

We stopped by a random for a quick snack! Dearie was craving for their all time famous dry minced pork noodles... simply awesome! :) The noodles are topped with nicely marinated minced pork and ample of bean sprouts!

The harbour!

The Danshui River or Tamsui River (淡水河) is a river in northern Taiwan and has a length of 159km.

The best thing to do here is simply picking a nice spot, buy some snacks and just enjoy the wonderful view while snapping photos away... :)

I came upon a stall that was blasting with loud music and the owner was simply promoting it's Taiwanese sausages; claiming it was the best in town! :P

Well heck I just went straight up and bought one! :P

More view of the river...

Cute or not? We bought this pair of Sesame Street icons - Elmo and Cookie Monster! :) It was just too hard to resist! :P

More bears to add to my existing collection :)

Inside the MRT!

Then it was late lunch at some place I forgotten the name! :P Anyway dearie again ordered their minced pork rice!

Well I opted for their pork dumplings that were drenched in superior sauce and topped with seaweeds and spring onions! :)

Next was dessert time @ Cold Stone Cremery that gurantees you the ultimate ice cream experience! LOL! This shop originated from Tempe, Arizona with the opening of the first Cold Stone Creamery in 1988! Wooo...

I reckon they should open a shop at Malaysia! GOOD STUFF really! The ultimate sinful chocolate ice cream below that came with more sinful chocolate coated waffles! I felt as though I added a few pounds after the trest! ^_^

Then we decided to head back early to call it a day since we needed to head to the airport at 4am the next day! GOSH! So dinner nearby the hotel at some restaurant which was a huge dissapointment and the FOOD was simply terrible! :( What a way to end the trip eh? HAHA!
Braised egg below!

More Taiwanese sausages which we left the whole plate behind! It was horrible, the meat was cold and hard... :(

More pig internal organs! LOL! Not for me though... I never fancy them :)

Only the noodle was edible but also so so only...

More pork dumplings... nothing fantastic also... Anyway that's the end of our Taipei trip! FINALLY! I believe everyone would have been bored by now! :P More local FOOD spree soon I promise... till then... Have a good week and do check out the summary of my trip below. :)

Wow, so many nice photos taken in Taiwan. We love their minced pork rice too, it's really delicious.
Didn't know that the interior of the MRT is so nice and modern looking.
